12 Shades Of Metaphors

Quote of the day:
All our words are but crumbs that fall down from the feast of the mind.
-Khalil Gibran

image: ArtMajeur

Her hope was a fragile seed.
Buried in the earth like her dreams.
Her emotions grew as tall as palm trees.
Tears damp like early morning leaves.

Her life was a broken mirror.
Shattered just like her reflection.
Her eyes distant like the moon and sun.
Fingers entangled like lovers in embrace at the door.

Her scar was a loathsome leech.
Camouflaged just like her thoughts.
Her nobility flared like forest fires.
Fears bound like hairy knots.

Serenity & Love always!

  9. It's about the effect (to my mind) substituting 'his' for 'her' has. That is what the reader has to do for his or her self.

  23. All our words are but crumbs that fall down from the feast of the mind.

Yes. But first, we have to have a feast in the mind, before our words can fall into place. Which obviously you do. Since you can write such moving poetry.
