Poem: Dream As A Memory

Quote of the day:

Everything in the universe has a rhythm, everything dances. -Maya Angelou

Burst of colours.
Blinding, inviting.

A splash of everything and nothing.
Some days love is missing...
Ascension, yes please.

Please no one.
Release the venom.
Rob time, give to the poor.
Riches are everywhere.

Four hundred seconds.
Gliding, drifting.
Nothing is guaranteed.
After silence, comes blindness.

Tango to the tempo.
Spirits dancing in limbo.

Poem: Reverence

Quote of the day:

In reverent pauses, when we slow down and think about the gift of life, we may briefly touch humility.
-Bryant McGill

image: deviantart

What if life was all just a dream.
A fantasy within a trance.
Perchance, tributaries will eavesdrop.
With castles built in heavenly utopia.

Frosted sun squandering its light beam.
To rivers flowing down stream.

If not for the rain.
Of what use, would be the clouds.
If not for the brain.
Of what use, would be the protoplasm and core.
If not for peace.
Of what use would be war.

A knife piercing a fossil memory.
If nothing lasts forever.
May I awake from life's reverie.

Poem: In The Day Dream Hour

Quote of the day:

Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart. -Kahlil Gibran

image: Rustcity

Back in the day.
When technology wasn't a disturbance.
I wrote you letters.
I wrote you love letters with smears of fragrance.

Page after page I wrote.
With fanciful multi coloured pens.
Like a painter working on a masterpiece.
It was like a rush...a sort of spiritual cleanse.

Minutes would turn to hours.
Time was of no essence and hunger had no meaning.
A thousand and one crumbled sheets.
No laxity with emotions that were unforgiving.

I became like a vocalist.
I was your poet, painter and musician.
Shakespeare, Picasso, and Mozart.
My words became my audition.

My emotions turned to enchanting songs.
I told no lies and held truth in a solemn embrace.
A combination of a canary and a nightingale.
I flowed over mountains seeking love's hiding place.

Life Is Short but You Can Make It Worthwhile

Quote of the day:
In ordinary life we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.
-Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Life is short. These are three words that magnify our mortality-a silent reminder of nothing lasting forever...of silent moments of uncertainty and vagueness in our everyday lives. But the question to ask ourselves is this; if life is truly short as people say-then what are we doing to live and not just exist?

Shouldn't we be more worried that life isn't some video game where extra life exists, but in reality it's just one life -one you are gone there's no coming back. There's no reset button, or cheat, and certainly no rewind button.

In conclusion, it can be said that there is really no way to live, no life manual to read on how to live life and be happy. But I have learned that giving and helping is a sure way to be happy. It can be something simple as giving your time to your passion or to a cause, or making donations to help charities, or gardening, or baking, or cooking, or blogging -and a million and one other things.

Whenever you give your time to something positive, you find inner happiness always. And you get so much more in return.

In the end, life's short -yes, but do as much as you can to make it worthwhile.

Peace. Love.Light*
