Happy New Month!

Hope everything is going on great at the moment for you all. Even if things are not, keep a positive attitude and focus on improving -less time on complaining.

These are some of my plans for the month.

Plans For The Month
1. Read at least six books.
2. Workout and eat more healthy.
3. Finish everything I start.
4. Meditate more.
5. Work on mid/long term goals.
6. Hang out with family/friends more.
7. Pursue my passions.
8. Rest more.
9. Don't make promises I cannot fulfil.
10. Never stop dreaming BIG*

So there goes some of my plans for this month of February.

One of my plans for the month was to read at least six books -I am currently on my seventh one. Looks like that goal is coming along nicely.

What have you got planned for the coming month? This might be a good time to create a plan, in case you haven't done so already.

The month of January ends the day after today.

Time is ticking. You've got more potential than you think you do.
Time to prioritize things in your life.
Time to prioritize relationships in your life.

Your priorities should not extend to people who don't have time for you.

Recognize that you have faults and that's it's okay to have them -no one can be that perfect.

Lastly, we should be grateful to the mirror for showing us only our appearance -not our character. Lord knows, we might not be able to stomach it.

So when you wake up in the morning, and get ready for the day ahead what occupies your mind the most? Is it plans you have for the day, or you are still sulking over yesterday's failed plans?

A new day offers the opportunity to make actually be better than you were yesterday. And why spend a day doing nothing when you could actually be achieving a lot.

In the mornings you can make a decision whether to have a good day or a bad one, you can decide what you want to eat, what clothes to wear, and so on. You make choices that affect your general well being.

So why would you want someone else to take control of your emotions?
If you easily get angry over little things or little people -that says a lot about your general state of mind.

It's time to engage yourself in positive things and values, time to get a clarity and take hold of your feelings about people, life and relationships. Time to dust your shoulders off and get back to being the 'old happy you.'

Lastly always seek that which gives you personal growth...like a flower seeking sunshine.

Do away with negative associations, connect with positive people today, It will help to expand your capabilities and keep you growing.

And went along with so much anger brewing inside.

What are those things you are looking at doing differently this time around? And what are those things that you would have to let go -in order for your goals to be achievable?

For you, is it a new year to elevate your current position in life-or is it just another cycle of repetitions, of doing the same things and expecting different outcomes.

You need a plan. We all do.

Make weekly, monthly and yearly plans. Short and medium term goals which will encompass a much broader long term goal for you (2-5 years for example).

So all in all -

*Little things make up great things in the end.

*Start small, start with little goals, little changes you'd like to accomplish.

It is a well known fact that people with clear, written goals accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without any whatsoever.

It's the start of new beginnings, so be prepared.

I feel the scrutiny from those closest to me the most.

How do you react to that? How would you deal with it...

I can get used to defending myself...but sometimes i just feel like it's not worth the time.

There comes a time in life...ever so often when we feel uninspired. Uninspired with anything and everything. But learning how to always stay inspired is a lot of hard work- no lie. Sometimes setting goals can make a difference...it can set our souls aflame with the very much needed inspiration.

But then...as a blogger when you feel uninspired to put up a post, what do you do? How do you shake off that feeling of emptiness deep inside...

I've had those moments too...wanting to blog-and not knowing what or how to write. But i never let that interfere with other things that i can do-at that point in time. Part of which is knowing that there will always be high and low days.

There will always be days of rainy inspirations and others of drought and barrenness.

But the beauty of it all is that when the moments of inspiration come back- the best posts tend to come forth. The empty dam..becomes overflown with genius overflow-in every sense of the way.

So be inspired whenever. Go for walks, exercise, meet up with friends and have great conversations, set achievable goals, and be whatever you want to be.

Writing is always a source of inspiration...so never stop writing~

Some days are just so silent.

I am not talking about the nights when everything is all quiet outside, including the neighbors' dog that usually takes delight in constantly barking while chasing shadows all day.

I am not talking about the empty streets without the usual flow of traffic. The hustle and bustle of People and cars with their intermittent blaring of horns and verbal exchanges of the drivers.

I am not talking about the birds cuddled up in the warmth of their nests, tired from all that flying, mating and feeding during the daytime.

I am not talking about a million and one other things that surges through the deepest tunnels of my mind just like water escaping from a burst dam...

...I am not.

c. Modify them to reflect your changing priorities.

I keep daily and weekly schedules, reminders most times.

Hello folks.

Past week was more or less a good one- was able to get 70% of my plans done-didn't get to blog as much as i would have loved to too.

So it's the start of a new month...new beginnings.

Time to take stock of the past month and deal with failures and unaccomplished plans.

The past month for me was one of the most productive so far this year-and I'm hoping this new month surpasses that.

Plans For The Month

1. Quit waiting for the 'right time' to do things -and just do them.

2. Keep myself busy with work, dreams and plans.

3. Avoid negative influences, and folks who discourage or depress.

4. Less worrying, less stress, more action.

5. Seek the company of like minded people.

6. Schedule time wisely.

7. Blog daily...Read 3 books a week.

8. Help others achieve their goals.

9. Be nice to everyone I meet.

10. Dream on.

Remember, you can be successful at anything.

Five years ago today...

I wonder if you can recall exactly what clothes you had on, what mood you were in, what day of the month it was, and how many problems you faced...and if you were either happy or sad.

Truth be told, i can't recall anything myself. Five years ago...seems just like a century ago.

I guess the point i am trying to make is this...the little time you have right now is so special...don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Because five years from now, some of the things, passions, emotions, dreams,and other stuff that's weighing you down- would not really matter any longer.

Truth is we need to be more content in our daily lives. Sometimes we spend more time worrying than actually living...caring...loving.

Worry less. Share happiness with people that you come across-because truth be told it helps a great deal. Happiness helps. It has occurred to me that making people happy also rubs off on you too. Surrounding yourself with happy people-makes life easier to live through.

Remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for. Happiness is not getting what you don't have -but appreciating the things that you have.

You alone can decide if you want to be happy or sad. Think about it!

We think too much about ourselves sometimes to even bother about other people out there.

We spend a lot of time thinking about what to wear, and how to wear it. About what time to get out of the house in the morning, about how to get to wherever it is that we might be headed to. We think too much about everything that affects us...and so little about things or people that we affect...

When was the last time you picked up your phone-not to chat or play games, but to have a really good conversation with an old time friend, family member or a new friend you just made?

People oftentimes say that they are too busy- with whatever it is they have going on. But how busy can one person get? Are we too busy to have a life...or just too lazy to make an effort i sometimes wonder...

A friend was telling me the other day about the fact that she was always so busy-that she didn't have time for her friends. And i asked her 'busy doing what'?

For a few seconds she went on about being occupied with this and that...while i looked on. Asides going to work-and even closing earlier than most folks, she could not point out what exactly she used the remainder of her time for-but yet she kept telling the people close to her that she was always too busy!

I'm not saying don't be busy...just that there should be a balance somewhere...

Don't be too busy watching out for what is ahead of you, that you don't take time to enjoy where you are...

So next time you tell people that you are always busy, be ready with an answer when they ask 'busy doing what'?

It's a good feeling to have made it this far in the year...looking forward to the few months and weeks remaining ahead.

3. Make new friends, keep in touch with old ones.
4. Revisit my long term goals.

Is your imagination and commitment. Remember friends, so that they will also remember you.

Do something new every other day...challenge yourself.
Exceed your proven abilities...
Learn from the tiny ants.

Obstacles...what are they?
They are those scary things you see when you take your eyes away from your goal. Dedication and hard work often pays in the end.

So what if you had all the money in the world and could buy back the past...

What part of your past would you buy back first and just how much would you be willing to pay for it-assuming you had the money that is.

Since the past always has a way of creeping up to the present, if given the opportunity to buy back their past-I think most people would grab the opportunity with open arms. Buy back the mistakes, the agonies, the tears, the fears, the losses-amongst other things. But you see all that is not possible, only a wishful dream.

I have had to deal with many things in life... most of which I've had absolutely no control over. I also had to deal with many things that i had absolute control over. Along the way I have learned that it always pays to do the right things at the right time and that there is indeed a time for all things.

Do the right thing...because it is right. Have the courage to face your challenges head on.

5 years from now-your hairstyle, your wardrobe, your relationships, friends you had won't matter. What matters is what u learned & how you used it.

Step out of your comfort zone...
Let go of certain things. Live right, make plans, get up when you are down, don't cry over spilled milk, don't worry about things that you can't change like-the weather and friends.

Let nothing stand in your way to fulfilling your dreams. If anyone says to you...."You can't do it"....get up and show them that you can. Success is the best revenge.

The past won't really matter 5 years from now....What matters is what u learned & how you used it.

Rise and shine...into the new day. Sun peeking out in the horizon. Heart beating in anticipation. This new month that is upon us...this new feeling of freedom. Things can only get better-how high can one get...moon and stars. Things will most times go wrong-how low can you reach before you shall overcome. I stand upon the sea shore overlooking an oncoming storm.

Should i be afraid? Am i being pursued? Is this the right time to run away, cross the red sea? let my people go...let my people go.

Release my dreams like a pandemic...you catch it before you realize how you got it. Inspiration is scarce...not because it's hidden, but because it goes unnoticed. I shall rise...i shall take risks and no matter the results i will live and learn-not crash and burn.

It's a cold,cold world...but that don't mean my feelings has to be cold...don't you see that my reasoning has to be known. I see lights...flashing, at the end of the tunnel. I see the clouds clearing. No more storm...just silence. Clear skies...my mind is clear. What doesn't kill me...shall only make me stronger. I am stronger now....in the silence of the storm.

It's been a very eventful month so far...

First half of the year's almost done with...time to look back, see how far we've come and how far we still have left to go.

Life is a race.
Life is a game...
Winners and losers.

With defeat one shouldn't ever give up..
It's always difficult hearing the victory songs of others-whilst our own songs remain silent from our trembling lips.

Being first at all times takes dedication...and even with that it's never guaranteed.
We all wish to be first in all aspects of our daily lives.

No one goes about thinking "Oh I'd like to be second place in this or that"....

Thing is...society tends to dictate how our existence and confidence should be. People look up to the winner, looking past those forming a long line behind him-forgetting that second place, third, fourth....is not defeat...just a motivation to get better.

So... as you go about living your life daily, remember this....
You can't always win.
But you can always get better at things....

I am sitting here looking at the screen like a fortune teller staring into the crystal ball. Suddenly the memories take me on a flight. Flying through the many battles i have won and the failures i have had to endure. Losing and winning go hand in hand. We can be close to happiness but miss it. We can be close to success but overlook it. We can be close to love but ignore it. We can be close to friendship but forsake it. We can be so many things but not everything. I took a step back and started blogging. On the surface i didn't know the direction if any it would take but in my heart i knew that a new path would have to be created. I was on a quest to create something out of nothing and by doing that bring you into my dreams and though sometimes it would seem like my writing is too deep to understand and other times too easy to comprehend . Yesterday at night i stared into the loveliest of skies with the moon and the stars shinning ever so bright. I can see myself as one of those stars. I see a lot of other stars who post their thoughts ever so well because of the need to accomplish something. The need to express their own opinion and not that of others. Stars abound everywhere not only the skies. I write to spread love peace and understanding and that which I cannot speak of. I do not seek to change history only to be a part of it. If you are reading this then you should know that i won't take your time but I will go away with your smile. I will continue writing so that I can go away with many more....so much more.

You and I...we are certainly unique.

And it is true.. that as we grow, we most certainly learn to respect the uniqueness of others.

Respect...a word missing in most people's dictionary.
People who see others not like them as 'not cool', or even a fool. They forget to respect the uniqueness of others as they grow in their own little world.

So some people actually leave their uniqueness behind...change to someone else-just to be considered cool and not a fool. They forget to stay true to their uniqueness...that which makes them stand out in the first place..that which makes them different...distinctive...and exceptional.

You lose your uniqueness...you lose everything; and then what do you have left?
So what if you are not tall or look like a model from a magazine...so what if you talk funny,eat, laugh or walk funny...or even dress funny-that's just the way you are-your uniqueness.

So what if you don't like music...
Or the outdoors...
Or even pets?

Understand that people can make you feel bad-only when you allow them to.
And people can and will take a lot of things from you...
They will take your time...some will take your trust...others will try to take away your uniqueness.

But remember...never give up that which makes you who you are..your uniqueness!
