What I'm Reading Right Now (13)

Quote of the day:
A book must be the ax for the frozen sea within us. -Franz Kafka

I continue with the 5th book in the series by Jeffrey Archer, the Clifton Chronicles. You can see my review of the first, second, third, and fourth titles in the series. Mightier than the sword is a recent publication, and the 6th installment may likely be out in early 2016.

The book starts off by re staging the final cliffhanger moments from the previous book. Archer is a brilliant story teller, and he sure knows how to keep the suspense going. Mightier than the Sword is no different, with the spell bounding story of the Clifton and Barrington family, their sworn enemies and the plot that spans across different cities.

What books are you reading? Happy September!

Peace & Love.

As usual, I am parallel-reading: One book on my kindle for the travels to and from work ("Mary Anerley - A Yorkshire Tale", first published in 1880), and a physical book at night in my bed, a work of non-fiction: "Does Anything Eat Wasps?". Both will of course be reviewd on my blog once I have finished them.

  29. Good for you. I honestly cannot read a series with more than 3 or 4 books in it. I just lose interest. I'm strongly considering reading Harper Lee's controversial "To Set a Watchman..." but I still have issues with the whole thing being a money grab. So I'm torn.

I need to go back to this series. I am pretty sure I started it but I definitely did not get this far.

Still resonating with Andrea Gibson and reading through her poetry again and again. And some of the Deadman poetry series.

  38. I love it when you find a series/author you love. I've found so many over the years that I can't keep up. Of course I stick to mostly YA and MG titles, so my recommendations are for younger readers. =)
