Prism of Light

Quote of the day
:
Beauty in not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart
-Kahlil Gibran

I am a prism.
Can you see my colors.
Can you view my light...

I am in prison.
But I am not your prisoner.

I am the beauty that you ignore.
The inner essence just underneath the core.

I am your foreskin.
Your next of kin.

I am an eclipse...
I cover dreams.
And not the sun.

A melody yet to be sung.
A hidden gemstone...
Only visible to some.

A Journey of Self Discovery

Quote of the day:
Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.
-Oscar Wilde

We can be anything we want to be...it's all in the mind.

What you think-you become. If things aren't going well for you at the moment, it might just be a phase you are passing through. Take a step back, take a deeper breath and tell yourself that you were made for something stronger-something bigger. All you need to do is feel it, embrace it-dream about where you would like to be...and work towards it.

When you overcome challenges of any kind, notice that you grow inwardly...you look at things, people, life differently.

Our ideas and thoughts may vary-but our wants and needs are more or less the same. We all need to be loved, we all need affection, protection and to be respected for our individuality.

Most people battle with low self esteem-they belittle themselves-no confidence whatsoever. And the world has no respect for any man that sees himself that way.

Stay positive and confident of your abilities-for you are much more stronger and special than you can ever imagine. Believe in your ideals. Change for no one.

Never let the opinion of others about yourself weigh you down...or stop you on this journey that you have undertaken.

A journey of self discovery...

Like A Geisha

Quote of the day:
Music can change the world because it can change people.
Bono

An orchestra.

Melodic trance resonates.
A dozen violinists...
One distinct aura.

Four strings... tuned in perfect fifths.
Effortless...

Like a geisha...
Gliding across the surface.

Eyes wide shut...
Alto violin...crescendo.

Applause.
A calmness.
A defining pause.

And then.
Silence...

A Reminder

Quote of the day:
It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see
-Henry David Thoreau

I keep daily and weekly schedules, reminders most times.
And this helps...
To manage my time and resources well.

Each day is like a new present to be opened...full of surprises.

Therefore, my focus each morning is on-having a swell day filled with learning, warmth and laughter...no matter what happens.

I am still learning to focus my energy more on positive thinking- and less worrying...

You should try it out too!

It changes your perspective about everything. It calms your nerves-and you find yourself laughing at things that would ordinarily get you all worked up.

Stay calm and focused in this new month!

Plans For The Month

Quote of the day:
A man can succeed at almost anything for which he has unlimited enthusiasm.
- Charles M. Schwab

Hello folks.
Past week was more or less a good one- was able to get 70% of my plans done-didn't get to blog as much as i would have loved to too.

So it's the start of a new month...new beginnings.
Time to take stock of the past month and deal with failures and unaccomplished plans.

The past month for me was one of the most productive so far this year-and I'm hoping this new month surpasses that.

Plans For The Month
1. Quit waiting for the 'right time' to do things -and just do them.
2. Keep myself busy with work, dreams and plans.
3. Avoid negative influences, and folks who discourage or depress.
4. Less worrying, less stress, more action.
5. Seek the company of like minded people.
6. Schedule time wisely.
7. Blog daily...Read 3 books a week.
8. Help others achieve their goals.
9. Be nice to everyone I meet.
10. Dream on.

Remember, you can be successful at anything.
Once you put your mind to it...

Here's wishing you all a Happy New Month!
