Nasir Sobhani, a 26yr old barber who lives in Australia spends his one day off from work as a barber to give back to the society. He takes to the streets, giving homeless people haircuts -part of an initiative he calls "Clean Cut, Clean Start."

71- yr -old Gunhild Swanson has become the oldest ever female ultramarathon runner. According to HuffingtonPost, The Western States Endurance Run is the world's oldest 100-mile race -and among its toughest.  This was Swanson's third Western States race. She finished this year 6 seconds from the 30-hour cutoff, a record for the 70-and-over category.

As seen on Afrotourism, La Manga beach villas located at Ilashe Island, in Lagos City, Nigeria. Surrounded by breath taking views, and fun activities, it certainly is a great weekend getaway.

    There are some wonderful people in the world. I like the way the barber spent his day off.

    Iva Barr, 85, ran a marathon in the UK - for charity, but I read of a 91 year old who ran in San Diego. I don't think I will ever have the stamina!

    One of my all time favorite quotes - "I've got nothing to do today but smile" - it rattles through my head every once in while. For some reason, I could swear that a very similar line is to be found in an old Crosby, Stills and Nash song.
