Back to business!

Hello everyone.
So the vacation (if there were any at all) is officially over. It was fun while it lasted init? Good, now get back to work people. Ok that was on a lighter mood.

First all, i'd like to thank everyone for coming to blogoratti and posting their comments on the blog-since december 17.
I hope to blog more often this year, can't stop, won't stop. Also i do hope you all leave more comments on the articles, so that i know i'm not the only one reading them. Hehe.

First all, a look at some news that have caught my attention in the past week:

1. R.I.P Jett Travolta
These are trying times for Actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston due to last week's death of their teenage son.

Jett Travolta, 16, died Friday after a seizure while vacationing with his family in the Bahamas.

"Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered," Jett Travolta's parents said in a statement Sunday.

Sad news indeed for the Travolta family.

2Gaza/Israeli war
Well we all know what has been going on since the last week of december when Israel started an offensive against hamas militants.

Quick facts:
*Israel is carrying out one of the largest raids in its 60-year occupation of Palestine.
There had been a cease-fire began in June 2008.  The terms were as follows:
*Israel would drastically reduce its military blockade of Gaza.
*Israel would halt all military incursions into Gaza.
*Hamas would halt all rocket attacks into Israel.

Artillery shells explode over Gaza as Israeli forces invade [GALLO/GETTY]

From the little i have read about the war, it looks like the Isrealis are tired of the hamas militants not sticking to the last of the three terms (*Hamas would halt all rocket attacks into Israel).

So as the world watches, and as the casualty rises (The latest total death count in Gaza stands at 531 people killed across 10 days, with more than 80 deaths since the ground offensive began on Saturday), the U.S which should have been in the forefront of nations calling for a ceasefire, instead sees the hamas militants as terrorists, so itdoesn't mind Israel protecting itself from such attacks. And Israel isn't relenting either.

And the question now is when will the war end?
