Quote of the day:
Few men during their lifetime comes anywhere near exhausting the resources dwelling within them. There are deep wells of strength that are never used. -Richard E. Byrd
The past week went by briskly, like a sudden breeze on a mild day. With it went ideas, observations. and activities -all suited to ideal moments. One highlight of the week was the award of the
Nobel Peace Prize for 2015 to the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet -"for its decisive contribution to the building of a pluralistic democracy in Tunisia in the wake of the Jasmine Revolution of 2011".
The focus is now shifted to the week ahead. New beginnings, expectations, routines and preparedness. And with the following plans, the week should be a great one. .
1. Meditate daily.
2. Prepare for an interview.
3. Take a mid week break.
4. Write 500 words for my book.
5. Improve grooming habits.
6. Workout at least twice in the week.
7. Get enough rest daily.
8. Carry an attitude of happiness around.
9. Dream Bigger.
I'm starting the week with a positive attitude. I hope you do the same. Best wishes with the week -have you made your plans yet?

A break mid-week sounds good!
ReplyDeleteFor this week, I have surprisingly few things in my diary, but last week made up for that with several nights out with friends and ex-colleagues plus dancing on Saturday night and a nice long sunny walk on Sunday.
My usual stuff does not need planning, such as two weekly visits to the gym and an after-work run with my friend, making use of as much daylight as we still get this time of the year.
Other things revolve around work, I will be working at two different customers' this week plus some working from home. It is going to be nothing special, just another good, relatively quiet week in my life, the life I really love and enjoy.
I like the idea of an attitude of happiness. My week will be spent nursing a sick husband.
ReplyDeleteHope your book interview go well, friend.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun-filled and productive week

While I don't put weekly goals down on paper, they are mental notes to myself. I have been working on several that you've listed here. Getting more sleep and not using any electronics before bedtime, going to the gym t least 5x weekly, being happy. Also reading a new book this week. Good luck with your writing and on the interview as well.
ReplyDeleteI have missed reading your posts, can't wait to hear more about your book and good luck with the interview. Titi'sPassion
ReplyDeleteI like the summary of your plans, I should do this also.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great start of the week! I love the idea of including something like "Carry an attitude of happiness around" or "Dream Bigger" in the daily/weekly list of plans and activities. I'll start doing so!
ReplyDelete:) Oh, and good luck with the interview!!!

There's a quote about making plans....Periodically I get last minute requests to do a project which requires me to to stop whatever it is I am doing , and focusing on that. So, yes, I made plans, but they have changed. No complaints though- I like being the one they rely on to do things.

Hello, what a great list. You are an inspiration to others. I hope your week has been great, enjoy the weekend ahead!
ReplyDeleteI like that you make plans all the time, we might no be able to live up to them all the time but keeping up with them is important... I want to start meditating, especially where it will be year end in payroll soon xox
ReplyDeleteI've been totally adrift for a while now. I've not posted anything. I've stopped reading. I've stopped writing. Somehow, this made sense in a way a lot of things haven't in a while. I need a plan and I need to commit to said plan. It's so simple! Thank you for this! Bless!
ReplyDeletehmmn! this week is booked with appoinment! Goodluck in your interview
