Three Things To Inspire Your Weekend (36)

Quote of the day:
The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.
-Mahatma Gandhi

A Syrian refugee is giving back to the country that welcomed him with open arms. Alex Assali, who left his home behind due to the crisis in his homeland found refuge in Germany. Now every weekend, on Saturday mornings, he makes hot food and gives it to the needy from a table outside the Berlin train station. Alex is part of a Syrian Christian project that helps the homeless.

A 9yr old fourth grader, Kamarian Fox from North Carolina, has been promised free haircuts for life by a local barber after they first met in August -on the condition that Little Kamarian gets good grades in school. And last week local barber, Mike Shelton stood by his words when the 9-year-old handed him his report card. He had received straight As. According to the HuffingtonPost, Mike is also encouraging others to do something to touch someone else's life.

  9. Jimmy Hendricks's quote 'when the power of love' is very similar to this, and it is one of my favorites.......and so true. That's nice what the local barber does for this young boy.

    Have a peaceful weekend.

  21. A very interesting and important post. Perhaps some of the Republican morons running for president in this country should see that "terrible" Syrian feeding the homeless in Germany, his adopted land.
