Michael Jordan, has donated to 23 non-profit organizations that improve the lives of youths in Chicago -with his victory in a court of law in the city. He recently won $9 million from a settlement case with a supermarket chain that used his likeness without his permission years ago. Jordan said in a statement “The 23 charities I’ve chosen to make donations to all support the health, education and well-being of the kids of Chicago. Chicago has given me so much and I want to give back to its kids-the city’s future.”

A 99 year old, Donna Goldstein, won a shopping spree at a 99 Cents Only store outside Beverly Hills, California, U.S.A. But instead of splurging on goods that day -which fell on her birthday, she decided to load up on stocking gifts for kids in need instead.

goddess knows the inner-city chicago kids need help badly. and the 99 year old doesn't need anything at this point, so she gave it away to needy kids. goddess bless them both!

ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful stories!
ReplyDeleteGenerosity is a virtue! I must admit I have not donated to any charity specifically for Christmas this year. The only charitable thing I always do in December is that I work one shift at the Christmas Market for an organization that helps women in Bangladesh (not the best place in the world when you are widowed or single for other reasons).
ReplyDeletethanks :D
