There are 3 Types of People In the World

Quote of the day:
Seek not greatness, but seek truth and you will find both. -Horace Mann

I believe that there exists three types of people in the world. The first set of people go about their lives on a high, with a can-do character (well lets just call them the 'can-doers'), and with a certain way of dealing with issues as they arise. If something were to go wrong for instance, with the can-do attitude as an enabler, it increases their ability to achieve success. They have a certain quality about them which often translates into positive actions.

Now, the second set of people have little character to go along. Lets call them the 'disrupters'. They find it difficult to grasp things as they occur with no clear cut way of dealing with issues around them. They can get loud when making a point, and they often derive pleasure in pointing fingers, issuing blame when cornered, and oblivious to taking responsibility for their actions.

The last set of people are the hybrid group, a combination of the 'can-doers', and the 'disrupters'. They know when to be in character and adapt to changing scenarios and plots. This crossbreed is of course fascinating as it embraces the uniqueness from the other two sets.

Although most modern day psychologists -of which I am not one, agree that there are five types of people in the world, I have made up my own list and chosen not to delve too deeply, as its all just deductions from my every day life and experiences.

So which one are you?

Peace. Love. Light*

  1. There are also the can't be arsed. There are loads of those where everything is too much trouble.

Personally I refuse to climb into a box!

  3. We have some of the "Can-Do" attitude... As for the other, we definitely have "Character" (more than a "bit") but we do not "neatly fit into" categories... Just ask any of my past psychologists.

  7. We have a major disrupter here in the States in the form of Trump. I hope our nation does not fall under his spell as Germany did in the 30s with another disrupter.

  12. I love your post...I am not sure how I would rate myself other than different circumstances call for different measures. There's gray in between the black and white so you have to adjust....

  13. Hi Blogoratti - I don't like to fit into moulds .. but I am a can-do ... but I can have my brief downers, then work out where I'm going and get on with things ... too pragmatic for most people ... I am just glad I'm not a disrupter in the general sense of the word, and I'll be flexible and help and support different ideas if necessary ... cheers Hilary

  15. you have a great idea here, neat way of thinking about it, i would say i am a "disrupters" by your standards, i tend to do whatever the crowd is NOT doing. i am not a follower. ever.

what i wanna know is how we get back to being kind to every one like we use to be?, it seems so many folks are connected with their phones in their hands, they forget that there are alive folks walking around them who they could interact with & have real relationship with, they are so into the internet world & what those certain "K" famous tv people are doing & feel they need to always follow in their foot steps, be like them, instead of making their own path & being unique and super cool in their own rights.

ok, went off on a chat there. i enjoyed this post, it is always fun to see where people think, or where they are coming from, you always do that, i appreciate it so! ( :

  16. I believe in "Live And Let Live" ... there is no other way, friend Blog ... cuz we never know what is making our lover, friend, neighbour or total stranger tick, and who are we and who am I to judge ... "what won't kill you, will make you stronger", hmmm? Love, cat.

  17. I'm none of the categories, my fine human friend. I'm a dog and I'm the lesson that humans could learn about of non-judgemental, unconditional love.

    Pawsitive wishes,

  18. hmmmmm, not sure which one I am, but I do try to handle things when they happen, but later after the fact, I can get a bit weary. Then after a short while, I'm back in the saddle again.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. That was so nice of you.

  19. What about the 'every dayers'. We go about our business and do our jobs and enjoy life. We don't over achieve or the opposite. We just enjoy.

  23. Someone once said to me, "I am me, I am not perfect, but I try to be kind to others and to help them" ...

Thoughtful post - is it right for any of us to be put in a box with a tick next to it?

    Have a great weekend
