Funny how just one smile can change everything isn't it ?

I mean there you are, having a rough and tough day...
Some random person comes in and smiles at you. You smile back.
It changes everything immediately.

Funny how you ask someone to repeat a question
-even though you heard the question the first time....
I mean we do that all the time, right?

A quick example:
Random Person: Please pass me that book...
You: Uhn?
Random Person: 'i said pass me that .....'

Or better still-when someone insults you to your face ...
and then you go: 'what did you just say to me...?
Even though you heard it perfectly well that first time.

'Uhn'? and 'What'?
Words that can make the other person repeat himself to death...

What is the remedy you ask.... well i thought you'd never ask.
The next time someone answers 'uhn' to your statement...
Do not repeat yourself...instead stay calm...and reply with 'uhn'?

Touché!

    Ok i dont want to be a know it all....but i think the "hub" phenomenon has to do wit short tem memory processing....u heard it, but ur mind didn't register it. it takes a few moments then u can repeat it...but knowing the mechanisms doesnt stop it from happening now does it....lol

    Also sometimes u want the person to repeat themselve becaue u "HOPE" they didn't just say what they did...sly ppl catch this and retract their words....repeating it is just boldness...which might be followed swiftly with a dirty slap or some eyerolling...depending on who has the upper hand.lol

    but ur solution works best...person anwers "what" to me...amd giving them back "what"...touche...

    and YES nothing like a warm sweet smile to brighten up a day...but i can be a tad cynical....when a random old man smiles at me for no reason, i don't take it very welll.....i kno i kno....it freaks me the hell out...lmaooooo...

    u kno i was about to do the "firsttttt thing" but apparently someone beat me to it....recount!!!...B tell eveyone CC is first....it will put a sheepish smile on my face!!..lol

    Yes sometimes you want them to repeat themselves hoping that they didn't just say what you thought you had hear in the first place...in the end eye rolling, or dirty slap like you said,hehe!
