One day you will look back at life filled with past events fading away into the distance, with a slight longing and yearning. Your eyes may even be filled with remorse for the things that you wished you had done, and for the opportunities that passed by you - of which you only gave a passing glance.

One day you will dream of the times that you wanted to try something new, but got discouraged by your own fears...got discouraged by those close to your heart. Someday everything will come into perspective, like the deep clouds t hat form on the horizon during a rain cloud.

One day you will remember today. The day you allowed your fear to overcome your dreams. Or the day you let your dreams overcome your fears. Your choice.

Couldn't agree more with this quote! Since returning from my semester abroad, I've been even more motivated to take risks and do what makes me happy. I don't want any regrets!

This weekend I am taking a bold step, leaving behind the familiar into the unfamiliar.Comfort for slight discomfort but hey..."I will go down with this ship and I won't put my hands up and surrender" because I know in the end it's my sanity and joy that matters.

I have always followed my heart--with some advice from my head, but my heart has always had the final word. I can look back with no regrets--for the good or the bad things that happened to me. What an inspirational post...and so very true. I never stop dreaming because if you do you cease to have motivation for life.
I taught myself to paint back in 2005 at the age of fifty-nine. I would have lost many pleasurable moments of creating what I saw in my heart and soul if I hadn't had the "gumption" to try. This also applies to my writings and taking photos.
One doesn't have to be better than the best at what they do...they just need to be the best that they can~

I've often heard this quote. I guess it's to inspire people who aren't brave. Honestly, as I'm in my 50s now, I can tell you I'm far more disappointed in the things I did and people I wasted my time with 20 years ago than on things I didn't do.

First of all let me thank you for your comment. You are right about facing things and doing things before it's too late. Your best bet is to maybe accomplish 50%. You will always have some regrets. If you (the general you) don't, then congratulations! It has to be tough to accomplish all your dreams but that's no reason to stop trying.
