What I'm Reading Right Now (23)

Quote of the day:
Optimism - the doctrine or belief that everything is beautiful, including what is ugly.
-Ambrose Bierce

I am reading for the week the same author as last week -Haruki Murakami, and the book is titled 'Hard Boiled Wonderland And The End of The World' .

Its brilliantly written in his usual lyrical and refreshing style. It combines science fiction with mystery and conveys different complexities.

And as I am now used to his writing style it makes for easier reading. It's a surreal thriller and not one to put down easily.

What are you reading this week? And what books do you have lined up for the remainder of the year, I wonder? I will be sticking to Murakami myself, give or take a few other authors.

  4. I just finished reading The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Excellent book. It's about two sisters living in France during WWII when it was occupied by the Germans.

  8. I have two books going right now. Two different genres. I can never remember the names of books when I read my Kindle. There is something to be said about having an actual book on the nightstand, you know?

  11. I take it NIYI DARAM is an infiltrator!

Regarding books, I wish I could settle to read through a book in a week. It's the eyesight you see, it doesn't allow prolonged reading anymore. I am still reading (a bit at a time) the Lightkeepers Daughter by Karen Viggers. Good book, too small print!
