Poem: Just Before

Quote of the day:

In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. -Khalil Gibran

In the morning
This first impression.
Right before the sun's glory.
Before the clouds make their procession.

Just before the dew drops.
Become evident on green grasses and crops.
And barren trees become basked in reflecting light.
Just before our focal thoughts take flight.

Just before the raindrops.
Begin to swell into a flood.
And our subconsciousness sticks like mud.
Absorbed into the world of backdrops.
This last glimpse
