ReplyDeleteIn order: 1) You are never to old to learn something new. Love the 84 year old graduate. I thought I was old when I got my bachelors degree at 48! ;) 2) Would LOVE to browse through books at the market! 3) Cool house, so light and alive!

Wow-the man is 84? He looks a lot younger. That is amazing and really good for him to accomplish his goal. We are never too old, are we?

ReplyDeleteI was watching the Wings for Life World Run the other day and there was a 93 year-old running. He started at 80. He was a doctor and he said he did 90 minutes exercise every morning before going to work and ran 5 kms (3 miles) every evening after work.
ReplyDeleteI'm always attracted by book markets.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Saturday!
H Blogoratti - congratulations to Jerry - shows what can be done .. then the book market - looks wonderful, but the architectural house - impresses ... cheers Hilary

It's never too late to learn, and keep learning. I like the cocoon house style but one would have to be able to do stairs a lot. . .and a book market - that is a pleasure I wish I could have. Lucky Londoners! Thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not as old as Mr. Pollard (almost) but I couldn't imagine going back to school now. Kudos to him and best wishes in the future...may he live long and prosper!
ReplyDeleteAnother great post very interesting to read.

I dunno...I think Maya isn't exactly right...sometimes, things can get worse the next day. But you gotta keep moving towards the light...so we do...forever hopeful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy it must be to learn and retain, best wishes to the graduate! Would need to camp out at that book sale. Love the new structure next to the old, nice contrasts. Think I like the old though.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the first one especially- it is never too late to achieve a goal.
ReplyDeleteWell done to Jerry ... an inspiration indeed!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your inspirational posts, hope your weekend has been a good one.
All the best Jan
Oh!! If there is one thing I sssoooo love about Education yeah King BlogoraTTi.. its that it has no Limits or Restrictions.. 84 and Successful.. Now thats what I am talking about Yo!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHello and thanks for visiting! I'm a first time visitor of Blogoratti. Cool name, by the way! I love Maya's quote, if only at our lowest point in of our terrible day we could see this truth and we'd realize it's only as bad as we see it at that instant. Tomorrow usually is a better day. That's really cool to hear an 84-year old got his degree. Just goes to show, you're never too old to learn. Have a funtastic week!
ReplyDeleteThis just goes to show you are never too old to learn new things. OH, and I would so enjoy looking through those books.
ReplyDelete84 sure is inspiring! Thanks for the kick in the pants.
ReplyDeleteIt sure will thanks for sharing.
