As seen on the Telegraph UK, the world's cheapest place to visit on a tight budget is Iran, followed by Egypt, Indonesia, Gambia, Malaysia, and Tunisia. A ranking of 141 countries in terms of price competitiveness,  compiled by The World Economic Forum's biannual Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report takes into account air taxes and airport charges, the price of hotel accommodation, fuel prices and the cost of living.

Have a lovely weekend folks.

  8. love the quote you start this with and love that he build her that little house on wheels.. such a big heart..

  9. You have the best quotes.

I left a pizza place this evening and saw a homeless man. He was begging me for a dollar. I don't give money way but I will gladly feed anyone that's hungry, so I insisted that he follww me back in the pizza place and he could order anything he wanted, but he said no. He wanted money. he insisted on it. I was saddened. I didnt give him any money.

  10. @Claudia: Big hearted fellow indeed, thanks so much for stopping by!

@Alieux: Thank you for that. What a compelling story, and I would have done the same I think...because giving out money may just help fuel their addictions, better to buy a warm meal instead. Appreciate you sharing that!

  11. We should do what we can to help others. Great quote.

  12. Thank u 4 visiting my blog, my new blogger friend ... smiles ... Love, cat.

  13. A brilliant quote...everyone needs to digest this one!
What a wonderful thing he did for that homeless woman. Begins to restore my faith in my fellow human...and the rescue of those Rhinos...oh...makes me so happy!!

  14. I heard about Elvis Summers, such a cool idea!

  15. Wonderful news! What a kind thing to accomplish if you have extra $ - to help others. ~ Thanks for stopping by, great weekend! :)

  16. What inspiring stories! A house on wheels - such a simple idea but provides essential shelter. Good to see something done to help the rhinos. And I've always wanted to see the pyramids, but I wonder if recent political strife has to do with the lower cost of visiting these countries.

  17. interesting snippets today...I wonder if that house on wheels would cause a problem in cities, such as not being allowed.

  18. I love people that do not care only about themselves, massive well done to that lady.

  19. Fantastic choice of quotation - something to keep in mind!

@Nick Wilford: Yes the recent political strife in some of those countries may have a hand in that, hopefully it means more people will be able to afford to visit. Thanks!

@Christine: I thought the same to about the moving houses, but apparently as long as she moves it around every couple of days, it should be no problem. Not sure how that would work in other cities though. Thanks for that!

  30. How brilliant is that about the shelter for the homeless woman. We currently have my wife's homeless brother living with us. he had a very hard upbringing that I think for anyone would have ended up in a similar position.
