POETICA I

Quote of the day:

Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition. -Alexander Smith

I am
Asleep...

But my mind
Is awake to you.

If i weep.
It's my heart trying to reach for you.

As i live..
My heart is in tune with you.

If you leave..
I'd be lost...
Lost without you.

Week Of New Beginnings

Quote of the day:

Confidence, like art, never comes from having all the answers; it comes from being open to all the questions -Earl Gray Stevens

Hi people!
How y'all been. It sure has been one heck of a week...
Highs and lows...R.I.P MJ.

My week was great...
mostly work and no play..
In the end i accomplished 100% of my goals..
All in all it was a week of reminiscing..amongst other things.

Currently reading: 'Cracking the Networking CODE' by Dean Lindsay.
A line from the book reads: ..'Everyone has a need to talk and be heard. Treat others as if they are the most important people on the planet because -in their minds they are. Everyone wants to feel that they are significant and have meaningful ideas to share. Turn people ON to you by tuning IN to them'...

How deep is that?...

My Plans For The Week
1. Think: Solutions -not problems.
2. Have some 'Me' time.
3. Treat others with respect.
4. Mingle with people that 'lift up' rather than 'bring down'.
5. Read a book.
6. Blog more.
7. Have a positive attitude.
8. Visualize,focus and achieve.
9. Meditate & Exercise.
10. Call old & new friends just to say hello.
11. Relax with music.
12. Never stop dreaming.

A new week of new beginnings..
Think of how you can make changes not only to yourself-but to people around you.
Remember think of solutions not problems...

Have a Joyous week!

My Freedom & Yours

Quote of the day:

Everything that is really great and inspiring is created by the individual who can labor in freedom.
-Albert Einstein

Feeling like i need to get up and do something..
Make a change or something...

In a room
locked in from the outside
an enormous wall separates
Me from freedom...

You see i've been forced made to believe
All my life that nothing was ever possible...

Inside this prison of mine.
written words on the walls..
from prisoners there before me...

i was told no one ever remained escaped..
i could see the writings on the wall.

I planned my escape in a painstaking manner
i just had to be free you see...

The world awaited me with open arms..
i wasn't ready to disappoint her.

So one night i reviewed my secret plan.
i gathered my tools and set to work...
hour after hour i laboured
with only one thought in mind.

New Plans For the Week

Quote of the day:

It is healthier to see the good points of others than to analyze our own bad ones
-Francoise Sagan

Hey folks!
How did your week play out this time around..
Hope you accomplished most of your goals.

My week was fascinating...
a little bit of fun and work.
In the end i think i accomplished like 90% of my goals...
All in all, it was a week of laughter, musings, indulgence and hope.

As for the plans, i did get to indulge myself-icecream, movies and all. I'm thinking it won't be bad to do it all over again this week. Cough*

Anyways, currently reading: 'Karma Yoga' By- Swami Vivekananda.
A line from the book reads: ...'Our Karma determines what we deserve and what we can assimilate. We are responsible for what we are; and whatever we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves. If what we are now has been the result of our own past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act'....

True words indeed...

My Plans For the Week

1. Think Positive.
2. Eat healthy,sleep better.
3. Goodbye Procrastination. Hello accomplishment!
4. Read a book.
5. Blog, blog, blog...
6. Be the best i can be always
7. Laugh at myself.
8. Call an old friend just to say hello.
9. Surround myself with things/people that inspire.
10. Never stop dreaming.

Here's hoping for a week of accomplishments..
Remember that..........It is healthier to see the good points of others than to analyze our own bad ones.

Have a nice week!

Hourglass Of Thoughts

Quote of the day:

The worst sin - perhaps the only sin - passion can commit, is to be joyless
-Dorothy L. Sayers

Randomly thinking..
So i live a day at a time and 24 hours-twenty four hours seems like a lot of time to accomplish some things right and at the same time it is not even sufficient to chase dreams. So all we do is chase many things at once, but when we reach the 24hr limit another day has gone and another chapter has closed in the book of our lives. Hours and minutes mixed together only equals time. Time is money. Money makes the world go round like the saying goes. But who knows tomorrow? Nobody knows but come to think of it knowing tomorrow would take away the hope that we feel, the deep intake of air in the morning while watching the sun come up, the endless opportunities that heralds a brand new day.If we were privy to how tomorrow would unfold that in itself would pretty much narrow things down a bit i think.

Stop.

One day things would come to a stop. Everything must end at some point. Everything begins with a thought and ends with one! It's not enough to just exist and not make a change but what is more or rather the ultimate is to live life and be a good example to others. I do not think i have begun to even live right and i think about this one aspect and how to put more energy into it that would light up the whole essence of why i am here-on this planet. I admire a lot of things and i see the passion with which people go about their dreams and it only spurs me on to be even better to go that extra mile and to aim higher than the stars in the night skies. So i chose daily to be happy no matter what because sadness can only last so long.

Why be joyless when you can be joyful?
Why hold on to the past when you can just let go?
Why be nobody when you can become somebody...

So in effect what we chase throughout our lifetimes.....
At last end up chasing us instead.

-Beautiful Dream Of Mine-

Quote of the day:

Blessed are those who can give without remembering, and take without forgetting
-Princess Elizabeth Asquith Bibesco

All alone in a deserted island.
With the sun sparkling unto the waters.
I reminisce about you being there.
With me and you all alone.

Gazing unto your brown eyes.
I seem to shiver with cold.
I touch your delicate face.
And i feel your ebony skin.

I see a dreamy look in your eyes.

As you brush your lips with mine.
Arousing a feeling of exciting adventure.
burning with intensity and pleasure.
I feel your firmness against me.
Soft, gentle and so electrifying.
Pushing my imagination to the last.

As waves crash upon us from ashore.

Can't cry out loud but can only moan...

Out your name as my heart thumps loudly.
With so much energy ready to burst out.

As we rock to the rhythms and passion..
Of fire ignited in us with so much..
Breathtaking and pure wet emotion.

New new Week!

Quote of the day:

Every increased possession loads us with new weariness.
-John Ruskin

Hey folks!

How did your week play out...interesting,fortunate?
For those that had plans..
Did you even accomplish any at all..

My week was so full of deadlines...
Work and a bit of the others.
In the end, was able to accomplish just about 70% of my plans..
All in all it was a week of -Focus, imagination, insight and planning.

As for the weekend, had to oversee a demanding project so my plans of getting some new gears as well as catching a movie-nada, Zilch!

Currently reading: 'A New Earth' (Awakening to Your Life's Purpose) by Eckhart Tolle.
A line from the book reads: ...'Those who are identified with their good looks, physical strength, or abilities experience suffering when those attributes begin to fade and disappear, as of course they will. Their very identity that was based on them is then threatened with collapse. In either case, ugly or beautiful, people derive a significant part of their identity, be it negative or positive, from their body'....

How true that is...

Plans for a New Week

1. Feel good about myself.
2. Read and learn something new.
3. Just go with the flow of things.
4. Call up a new friend just to say hello.
5. Blog and blog..
6. Read a book.
7. Workout.
8. Icecream...hnnm haven't had that in a while.
9. Get more sleep.
10. Music...using it to get me through the week!

There goes my plans..

Poetic Justice

Quote of the day:
Sincerity is the way of Heaven.
-Mencius

Today, I had been going through some of my old stuff again...
A Collection of writings...poetry, short stories, and or vivid thoughts.

You see, poetry for me was....
a sort of escape.
Scratch that. The only escape!

I battled depression with my poetic thoughts.

I would just write my feelings down, pen and paper in hand.
And anytime i wrote...
Time always stood still.

A family member had introduced me to poetry.
It was the year 2000. Or was it 2001?
She herself was used to writing poetry and stories, and encouraged me to start as well...

Since then i've never looked back...

I've come this far...thanks to many scenarios. Thanks to-

The close pals that i have written for in the past (something special for their loved ones).
The friends that wanted something nice (something to impress their girl).
Those that i used to write romantic letters to (back and forth).
Not to forget depression (i fought back with poetic thoughts).

I used to write dozens of poems daily...
I could look at the clouds in the sky and write pages of poetry on just that alone, lol.

I plan to publish some of my works when the right time comes...

By the way, don't you just dislike it when people send to your phone recyled text messages?
Back then, if i wanted to send you a lovely text message on your phone for instance, it would take me less than a minute to compose a message or something. And yes i have a thing against recyled text messages...

My shock knew no bounds when one day i got the same text message that i had previously sent out to someone else many weeks earlier. I had sent a text message to a friend -and believe it or not weeks later that same message was sent back to me by a totally different person.

It wasn't that shocking though- I've always been told by close pals how their friends react whenever they see some of my text messages on their phones....

It often goes 'Oh, this is soooo nice'....
Who sent this to you? .....can i send it to my phone please??

To this end i must say that is uncool. Recycling messages i mean.

Remember one or two of those lovely text messages you've gotten in the past on your cell phone? , So yea there is err a minute possibility that it actually came from me....
I'm just saying. Hehe!

Vague As a Dream

Quote of the day:

If you reveal your secrets to the wind you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees.
-Khalil Gilbran

I was little...

Now?
I am fully grown...

An actor..
I was on a stage.

Now?
I am..
But a king with a throne.

I once lived in the past.
With the future unknown.
I smelled success..
As one would an eau de cologne.

Sticks and stones...
break trapped thoughts in a glass dome.

Do not seek what you cannot find..
always in my mind...always in my mind.
Do not long for what you cannot have.
Just let it be........Just let it go.

If life is as precious as a stone..
Consider me as a gem.

So do not look for me my friend.
For where i am..
I am alone...
I AM ALONE.

Week Of Fortune

Quote of the day:

I have often regretted my speech, never my silence -

Also '1001 ways to be Romantic' by Gregory J.P. Godek.
Yeah i know,sue me!

But really 1001 ways to be romantic? Okay, since this is my 191st Post -a quick flip through the book to no.191 says 'When you’ll be traveling without him/her, leave one greeting card for each day you’ll be gone....
That goes out to all the romantics out there. Keep the love flowing...

So back to last week's plans, i was able to do much except the shopping and movie watching part which were canceled at the last minute.

My Plans for the week

1. Have a positive state of mind.
2. Live life a day at a time.
3. Smile more.
4. Blog,blog,blog,blog....

12. Continue with the '20 minute principle'.
13. Read a book.
14. Keep the dreams alive.

So here's hoping for a more fortunate week-for us.
Remember, the only thing stopping you in this life is YOU.
So stand up in a dazzling triumph...
with a defiant courage..
and cap it all with an energetic enthusiasm.

It is time to take what rightly belongs to you-no more waiting in line...
Surprise yourself...Dazzle 'em this week!!
Have a fortunate one.

The Only One

Quote of the day:
People who have no weaknesses are terrible; there is no way of taking advantage of them-Anatole France

I Wonder.
Wonder if...

Nah...never mind.

What?
You want me to speak my mind?
Okay.

I wonder.
wonder if....

If people could speak...
just ONE language.
Maybe....

Just maybe...
The world wouldn't be so bad.

I Wonder.
Wonder if...

If people could claim...
just ONE religion.
Maybe...

just maybe...
Life on Earth wouldn't be so hard.

ONE.

New Addition

Quote of the day:

It's never too late to be who you might have been -
George Eliot

Some random thoughts...
sort of weaving a web through my mind right now..

Today,
A new baby niece...
got news on that earlier on..
can't think of anything more beautiful in the world...

On Monday,
My friend Jay had some heartbreaking news...
Her 3 yr old niece had -due to an illness fell into a coma...
she fought back though-came out of it...and was able to go home to her family.

She passed on...over the weekend.

Reminded me of the tragic end of Mike Tyson's 4 yr old daughter...
'Exodus' was her name...ironic.
Every parent's worst fear is to lose a child. Everyday...Sadness that can kill...slowly.

Does anyone think they deserve to be alive?
breathing...
eating..sleeping?

I'm reminded of...
The song 'tears in heaven' by Eric Clapton...
The day i found out that he sang the ballad following the painful death of his four-year-old son...
It just made sense completely.

Does anyone think they deserve to be alive?

My Silent Chant

Quote of the day:
I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.
-Galileo Galilei

How do i view the world in a different light, when darkness envelopes me deeply inside...
Outside all i see is the energy of birds...
wings flapping....so light against the gentle breeze...

What ever happened to our innocence??
-a little kid in an adventurous world, a little child whose only delight was just butterflies...

At this moment someone cries..
culture dies...
tears dry...
nobody dares to try anymore these days...

nobody cares to fight for what is right..
do you...
would you?

Look at us now....we've grown to a far distant height. Unable to reach down for anything -not even our freedom of expression...
I look at people sometimes and it just feels as if i can see through...

See through their souls...
feed their hunger with my goals, running this race of life on my toes...
I yearn for that of which cannot be explained but better imagined..

Imagine if tomorrow started today...
Now...
now is the time..

Believe...
run like the winds...
make the change, it's time....
if you are out there, tomorrow starts now...
can't wait any longer....
can you?

It is time...
It is TIME.
