Until The Everlasting

Quote of the day:

The worst moment for the atheist is when he is really thankful and has nobody to thank. -Dante Gabriel Rossetti

How i wish i knew now what i knew then-you hear people say often. If that were to happen, how then would one learn from mistakes, from friends and different events that have shaped our lives and learning processes and later turned us into what we are today.

Our learning process. Our thoughts-those things that we feed into our minds define our character, our principles, perception and beliefs.

In the end we're all just a bunch of parallel humans-we are alike in various ways. Which leads me to ask this 'what do you believe in'..and would you be willing to fight for something you believe in, not minding if it means the end of you?

I believe the world today is a better place than say-what it was over 50 years ago. We've become better as a people. It doesn't really matter if the world is ending tomorrow-at least when it does one can say that- 'i may not have done anything else but i left the world better than i met it'...

I guess all i'm trying to say is that our purpose on earth-yours and mine is it not to make it better in the first place? People that you come in contact with, do you leave them a better person than you met them? It seems that the people that have the greatest impact in our lives tend to leave just too soon. Maybe because they need to go inspire other people too..

So until the everlasting, the sky might fall...
The planets might fade with the night stars..
The seasons might change, and friends can become enemies..

But i tell you-if you make a difference in my life, i will never forget you.

  7. ttlolla| Aww. I still do too...

wellsbaba| Feel you on that. And very good points you've raised. It holds true that the average human only looks out for himself. We go into relationships for 'what we can get'...
Instead of the other way round like you've rightly said- it's all influences. Are we so empty as humans that we can't see past our differences, beliefs and race to forge friendships and get to know one another?

Lets think of how to influence that person that we like-or don't like-or let me use your words...infiltrate their souls!!

leggy| Good to be good. Simple but yet powerful phrase i tell ya...thanks for that.

  10. This post is so powerful, and it's an everlasting principle. I think everyone's purpose is strongly geared towards doing something great in this world and being an inspiration to as many as we can come in contact with.

It's like the transfer of electric shock...

  13. This is profound...
yeah, who does the atheist thank, because for a child of God, there is always the effortless.. "thank you God".

That's why we are all here, blessed to be a blessing. I really pray I leave an everlasting effect of not myself, but of the endless possibilities and richness that can be found in Jesus Christ...

Ps.. thank you so much for the birthday wishes... much love

  14. Every thing you said it's quite true. sad and true. the quote for the day is quite true. i have an atheist friend, who would always say 'thank God' and when i remind him he just said 'thank God, he would say 'it's just an exclamation
