It was a calm one...Sunday that is.

My very first 'weekly plan' for the year.
And it's pretty short.


Plans For The Week
1. Rise above my inabilities.
2. Explore my capabilities.
3. Enjoy each minute of life.
4. Blog more. Tweet. Read a book or two. (Reading helps)
5. Redefine my short term goals.
6. Never lose focus of where i am going.
7. Be nicer to people.

Simple as that.

In Another Time

You know one of those moments...

When everything about life just seem to take on a new meaning...like when you start seeing things in a different light?

It's not just your perspectives that change though....
Sometimes your intuition too...that sixth sense takes on a whole new meaning...a new importance even.

All of a sudden you appear more careful about certain things you say...and how you say it.
More cautious about the people you meet...and places you go....events you are seen at.

You become more choosy -about food and love, even more so critical about friends and their friends, cynical even about other stuff.

You reach that point where something inside of you keeps telling you "slow down"...you need to slow down.

There grows a certain suspicion that life isn't all about events anymore, but rather about people and individuals....just paint brushes on a canvas, a canvas on display for the whole world to see and admire...to embrace for what it is-art or heart...

If u ever felt surrounded by loving people...
But deep down inside you..its all loneliness.
Lonely like a tear in a raindrop...


If you ever felt like shutting out the whole world...and all the noise.
But deep within you...it's not so quiet after all.
Clutter of veins turns insanity to vanity.

Privacy is Dead

Privacy is dead.
Quick show of hands: how many of you feel privacy is dead......

Our love affair with all things technological....killed it ages ago.







And today...privacy is basically zero.

Take blogging for instance...it's made us share way much more info about ourselves to hundreds, if not thousands of people online right?

And don't get me started about Facebook, twitter, and Google and the rest.
Today my friend says jokingly..."if you don't see me online or get a text message from me in a day, just know something terrible has happened to me"....yeah right was my reply.

And i am wondering yeah...privacy brings obscurity. And in today's world to stay relevant one has to be connected, and once that starts-privacy ends. If you don't share-you don't exist.

As we spend more of our lives and time online these days, privacy is becoming a thing of the past. Some would argue though-that the more we attempt to protect privacy the more we are sure to lose it.

So get used to it will ya...
Privacy is dead.

Victory of Defeat

Sometimes defeat is inevitable....

Just like an army that is on the verge of losing a war...
Outnumbered, fatigued...

An army far outnumbered by the enemy lines....
A runner falling just before the finish lines....

It is the same for us all too-when the burdens of life become too overwhelming...
Those feelings of "not being able to go any further"....to make another step.

When defeat is inevitable...it is wisest to yield. It's okay to yield to defeat!
Call it a day, and walk away.
Wave the white flag....

I would like to think that the most victorious achievers in life- have at some point seen and yielded to defeat...just a thought.

If you are perfect...how can you ever become better?
You can't win all the time...just sometimes.

So i am sitting here thinking...

When defeat is inevitable...when i can't go on anymore.
It is wise I yield...
Tomorrow, defeat shall turn to victory.
No more defeats...just glory.

The Borrower

I want you to take a moment to just reflect.
Think. Think. Think.

Reflect on whether your whole idea about yourself is borrowed....
No.....Yes?


You see we take little things from other people's lives on a daily basis-say a mode of dressing, or talking or walking...or whatever it is that we borrow...we take what we've borrowed-modify it and blend it into our lives...a sort of remix to an original song, a sort of new wine in old bottle.

Nothing bad in being a borrower.

But when do you know to stop borrowing....and start believing in yourself again....
Go back to the old you-and the things that made YOU who you are today.

Who cares what people really think about you.
About how you look and the what clothes you wear?
Don't be like no one else. Just be yourself.

You know why?
In the end...all that really matters is what and how you feel about yourself.
So stop borrowing. Instead be proud.
