Tiny Bird Big Song

Quote of the day:

I feel like a tiny bird with a big song!
-Jerry Van Amerongen

Sometimes i feel that way....
You know a tiny bird...With nothing but a big song!

They say the world makes way for a man that knows where he is going...i agree. I seek to be that man, i'm on my way...slowly but surely.

If i have to crawl to get to that point, that peak -that climax of which i seek...

I'll do it.
I'll do it without even thinking...

But you see my greatest fear is not reaching the potential that i was created to reach.

My greatest fear.
Is perhaps giving up when...
When the finish line is just within an arm's reach!

When the finish line is just within an arm's reach...

I will remember this...

I am a but a tiny bird....
With nothing but a big song!

Along A Simple Path

Quote of the day:

Own only what you can carry with you; know language, know countries, know people. Let your memory be your travel bag.
-Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Fresh winds dominate...
Along a simple path as i walk.

Amidst the memories of which i seek...
Hand in hand with faith.

Echoes resounding into the deep...
I'm renewed with wisdom.

Shed dry leaves as tears...
Smile boldly at inner fears.

Embracing the old with the new...
Giving up a lot for just a few.

Art In Your Heart

Quote of the day:
Never advise anyone to go to war or to marry.
-Spanish Proverb

Art: process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions.

What is art? I love this image up there by photographer 'I must be dead'. The expression, the elements and dark colours-lovely!!

What is art? Reason why i like this image...
For one, it's full of contrasting colours....and deep meaning.
Eating butterflies-gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'butterflies in the tummy'....

This one above has got this whole 'Circus' feel to it....
The ring, the painted face, hat, etc...

I Like the concept of this upper one -the body as an instrument that you play.

Kind of flows with my poem, here

You see your body was the violin..
your heartbeat was the drums...

Your thoughts playing like guitar strings..
A symphony of quick releases.
Entwined like conjoined twins..
A harmony of oblique mixes.

I sensed you.
I felt you.
I played you.

All images: I must be dead

What is art to you?

Jar Of Truthful Lies

Quote of the day:

I'm an idealist. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.
-Carl Sandburg

I spy.

You see even after...
After all the goodbyes.

I don't like a good surprise.
I saw you and i didn't mind the cries.

Isn't love the greatest prize?
Fireworks and rainbows in the skies.

I was once told by someone wise...
There's a thing line between truth and lies.

I spy.
Jar of truthful lies.

Forward, Onward, and Upward

Quote of the day:

Actions lie louder than words.
-Carolyn Wells

You see in life one needs to keep evolving.
As it is i'd like to know that you've changed in some aspect of your life, that you've evolved and not remained static, i mean think about it. If months turn to years perhaps and you haven't really evolved much, you haven't advanced past where i left you the last time-what would i make of ask? A day is enough to evolve, okay scratch that-a month, a year, a all doesn't matter you see,as long as you EVOLVE.

That's like the greatest gift in life...that ability to evolve and attain a much higher persepective, embrace things you'd never attempted-dont ever think you have arrived, always keep evolving!

And for that reason, if you feel that you've done all that you can-and that you can't go any further in achieving anything-then you are wrong.

..If you were sad yesterday, why replay that same scene today....why not evolve, and propel that sadness into joy today?
..So what if you failed before. Same way you failed is the same way you can succeed.
...doing just one thing is not enough -push yourself to do the limit...

You see
If you can have just one dream-then you can have many dreams.
If you can experience failure-then you can as well experiment with success.
If you can be nobody- then you can be somebody.
If you can know one thing -then you can know everything.

Movie Monday

Quote of the day:

What is a cynic? A man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.
-Oscar Wilde

I recall watching 'The Passion Of The Christ',and getting teary eyed. Directed by Mel Gibson and starring James Patrick Caviezel (he was struck by lightening during filming), it was one haunting movie i tell ya. Apart from it being so explicitly violent, it was just the kind of movie that you'd watch and not be yourself for a whole week....

Other movies that came this close to opening the flood gates include;
'Titanic' (Leonardo Di Caprio) -when Jack died.
'Gladiator' (Russel Crowe)-Toward the ending (and the haunting soundtrack didn't help matters),when Crowe's character 'General Maximus' was killed (Crowe's performance was totally awesome)
'Hotel Rwanda' (Don Cheadle) -Set during the Rwandan genocide of 1994, Cheadle's character 'Paul', helped to save a lot of fleeing refugees-granting them shelter inside his hotel.

Other movies include Ghost, Sixth Sense, Braveheart, Shawshank Redemption, and a host of others.

My Best Movie Twists
I enjoy twists in movies. I mean what's a good movie without a twist eh?
Might explain why i have a thing for horror flicks...

Sixth Sense
The unexpected twist at the end caught me unawares when i first watched it. Bruce Willis' character was actually dead the whole time? Jeez!

The Usual Suspects
Watched this movie again over the weekend, and i had to clap at the end of it. The final scene was where the twist the character 'Verbal Kint' was actually Keyzer Soze??-no freaking way!!!!

For me, Saw was simply incredible....and the plot was crazy!
Imagine waking up in a bathtub full of water, at one end of a grimy and disused bathroom. At the other end is another man -both of you chained by the ankle to the plumbing pipes. A corpse holding a revolver and a microcassette recorder lies on the floor between you...

Each of you discover tapes in your pockets labeled "Play Me".

From these tapes, Mr A. is told that he must escape the bathroom, while Mr.B is told that he must kill Mr. A before six o'clock, or else his wife and daughter will be killed and he will be left to die where he sits. They find hacksaws, though neither is sharp enough to cut through the chains. Mr. A breaks his and throws it away in frustration. Mr. B realizes that the saws are not meant for the chains, but instead for their feet.....

The twist was too wicked,haha.... i mean how could that corpse(Jigsaw) not be dead the whole time??

What are your best movie endings?

Quote of the day:
Never refuse any advance of friendship, for if nine out of ten bring you nothing, one alone may repay you.
-Madame de Tencin

She walks beauty...
And then the moon saw her.

Whispered to the sun from afar.
Model like and still angelic...

Even the wind remained static.
Never erratic

The way she walked...
Caused tremors in the earth.

And my heart spluterred like a car out of gas..
My heart was beating fast..

And then she looked at ME at last...
I melted like ice.

That was my sacrifice...

You see your body was the violin..
your heartbeat was the drums...

Your thoughts playing like guitar strings..
A symphony of quick releases.
Entwined like conjoined twins..
A harmony of oblique mixes.

I sensed you.
I felt you.
I played you.
